The mala making workshop

What to Expect…

Our mala making workshop begins with exploring the healing properties of the various stones. Primarily an interactive experience, we will discuss each stone's traditional uses through time, what they’re practical for in modern times, and answer any questions you may have. The stones are passed around so you can connect with and feel the vibrations of each one. Choosing from R.E.D.’s findings, including various crystals and spacers, you’ll craft your mala. You’ll also receive a comprehensive workbook, and a cloth pouch for securely storing your unique design.

Mala beads have been around for thousands of years and are not associated with one religion, but rather have roots in many areas of the world and spiritual practices. Used as a powerful tool for mindfulness, focus, and meditation, the mala has many important elements including the knots, the marker beads, the guru bead, and the tassel.

The mala making workshop provides an opportunity to set intentions, create a tool for focus and awareness during your spiritual practices, and to design a piece infused with your personal energy.

Food and drinks are always welcome in our studio. In addition, if you let us know beforehand of a specific interest, we can find an appropriate charm for your entire group (i.e. robotics club, dance team, girl scouts, music enthusiasts, etc.).
